I purchased on sale from local supermarket in my area. What the heck, I said, I'll try it. 2009 Zinfandel, cellar No. 8. I am not as wine savvy as many of you are, but honestly, I was not let down. Mellow, no bite, and nice finish.
Pleasantly surprised by this wine. Nice strong aroma with smooth finish. I would compare this with more expensive wines.
I got it for $6 at world market and I think it is fantastic! It reminds me of wines I've paid twice as much for. Not that complex, but enough fruit and spice to satisfy, and a great value!
Tasty... Would go great with a steak or burger. The price of about $10 is right on, as I would be disappointed if we had spent more than that for this wine. There is nothing offensive about the taste, and would be a great first red wine!

Tangy, with very good intensity to wild berry, tart raspberry and currant flavors, highlighted by vanilla-tinged oak and modest structure. Drink now through 2006.
This is yummy Zin, packed with rich, ripe cherry-berry fruit, tobacco, spice and chocolate, and it's bone dry and moderate in alcohol. It's a big, flavorful wine, yet has balance and charm. Finishes with a scour of acids and astringent tannins, suggesting barbecued steak or roast lamb.
