Cecchi Chianti Classico 2012
This flavorful wine has a strong flora taste. Although, I did not find this to be pleasant tasting, I could see others finding differently. My recommendation: if you like flora tasting dry reds, go for it. If not, stay away.Add winemaker's notes

Tasted at UNLVino 4/10/10
Three and a half glasses
Dark purple and promising in the glass, very deep coloured Chianti. The nose was spicy, full and clean with slight tobacco notes and very fruity. The palate was a mess, unbalanced, soft tannins, soft attack all the way to the mid palate actually tasted watered down! Thin, insiped and a 2 second finish. Looked great, good bouquet but a total dudd on the palate. Give it a miss.
External Reviews for Cecchi Chianti Classico
Produced in the high hills of the historic Chianti region, Cecchi Chianti classico has an intense bouquet of violets and iris. Its reddish purple color turns to a rich garnet with age. Dry with ripe fruit flavors when young, cecchi chianti classico matures into wine of velvety warm delicacy.
The colour, of excellent clarity, shows up as a well covered ruby red. The full and ethereal fragrance bears notes of ripe fruit spices and toasting. In the mouth its good structure has concentration and elegance. This wine goes well with roasted or bbqd meats and game. - Winery ** SOLD OUT **
Duft nach Kirschen und Veilchen. Im Gaumen sehr lebhaft und würzig, gut eingebundene Tannine. Wird mit dem Alter weicher.
Dark in color with thick concentration, this "family" Riserva offers loads of spice lavished over fresh cherry, red fruit and plum. In the mouth, the wine feels thick, chewy and well concentrated with ripe cherry flavors that ride over the long finish. - M.L.This has a pleasantly fresh nose, with berries and flowers. Medium-bodied, this starts silky, but turns a little austere on the finish. Drink now. 10,000 cases made. -JS
