Scent of smoky berries. Tangy with a bit of coffee.
Nose of spicy cherry and some raspberry. Bright, zesty red fruit and fine tannins. Some nice oak influence rounds it out and it has a toasty finish. - Tasted at Marché Bacchus 5/15/10
Bushels of cherries on the nose, with just a slight hint of PN funk. The palate is somewhat jammy a la cherry pie filling (without the sweetness) with just a hint of spice and just enough tannins to make you notice them. The WS 88 points seems a bit high, but hard to pass up for $7.
This was on sale for $4.97 at a well-known Minneapolis wine shop. That is a fair price for it sine there are better pinot noir's out there for $8 or $9. Red Tree Pinot Noir is non-offensive, light bodied, and short on flavor. It is, however, easy to drink and fuity. Strawberies and Michigan cherries come to mind. Not much depth of flavor or layers and finishes light and clean
A stunning value with strawberry and red cherry fruit finishing with plush tannins. Enough varietal character to surprise even your wine geek friends.
The color is vibrant, clear and inviting, and the initial scent is mildly aromatic. The wine has a smooth, full fruity flavor, very nicely balanced, with a smooth aftertaste. The structure of the wine is not complex but its balance makes for a very nice pinot that held up well to the dishes it was paired with.
I love this wine. #1 for a bargin pinot noir is is really good. It is very fruity and easy to drink. It is sweet and goes well with a casual dinner, pizza even. :) I recommend it for anyone looking for a good wine at a bargin price.

Weingut: Cecchetti WinesLand: USARegion: KalifornienRebsorte: Pinot NoirAlkoholgehalt: 12,5 Vol. %Säuregehalt: 6,1 g/lRestsüße: trockenInhalt: 0,75 lEmpfohlene Serviertemperatur: 16-18°CAuszeichnungen des Redtree Pinot Noir 2008:88 Points - Wine Spectator, April 2009 Rotwein > USA > Kalifornien
