Cdp Dom du Vieux Telegraph la Crau NV
The Dry Creek Valley, known primarily for its delicious Zinfandel, also produces very intense and flavorful Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This impressive Cabernet displays compelling aromas of sweet cherry, lush plum, and roses. The opulence of this wine shines through with a harmonious core of silky smooth tannins and rich fruit. Palate filling flavors of sweet currant, black cherry, and cocoa are perfectly balanced. This delicious wine should age beautifully for a decade or more. Retasted recently and this wine is progressing nicely. A lot more oak immediately upon opening than I remembered. After 20 mins in a decanter, the wine opens up to beautiful blueberry, black raspberry and even more blueberry notes aromas and flavors. The tiny amount of Petite Sirah is really coming across melded with the supple Cabernet. This blend should be great with a few more years age.
Nice golden color. The nose shows caramel, and spice with a wierd BBQ aroma, maybe cumin? Unctous in the mouth with medium high acidity. The palate reveals flavors of caramel, minerals, earth, maybe chocolate, and buttered toast? Weird strange wine, not sure what to think. 2.5/5 [NR]
Tasted at the Wine Century annual dinner: Complex blend. Simultaneously NV / non-varietal super blend. Nice
I have had Gruner Veltliners that I loved, but this was not one of them. A fairly simple, light, and sour wine with a bit of lime and cider in the flavor. This appears to be the Austrian version of inexpensive California Chardonnay.
Second wine of Ch. Latour. I bought the 1990 & 2000. This is perfect Paulliac. Complex, long lasting, classic. I paid $33 a bottle as a future.
best wine ive ever tasted
This vine is made of pinot noir, pinot meunier and chardonnay grapes. It should be served well chilled and goes well as apertif, with light starters or just as a drink.

A lighter-bodied, mellow, unoaked white in the same vein as a Soave or Pinot Grigio. Pretty orange blossom, lemon zest and pear notes.
Unlike most of Vilmart s wines which are dominated by chardonnay this entry-level brut is composed of 70 percent pinot noir and 30 percent chardonnay vinified entirely in large oak foudres. The current version is made of equal parts 2007 and 2006 and it clearly shows the racy linear structure common in the 2007 vintage. It s full in fragrance with spicy energetic aromas of peach citrus and poached pear and compared to previous versions of this cuvie the pinot noir seems to be felt more in body than in flavor as this is emphasizing a lot of citrusy chardonnay liveliness right now. Its silky texture adds to the feeling of finesse and this should continue to improve with another year or two of age. Peter Liem.
This New York State Rosandeacute; is light and fruity with subtle hints of sweet strawberry and cranberry. An easy-sipping style that is perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon at home.
A light, sweet, grapey blend of Concord and Catawba. Great as a dessert wine or just for sipping.
This wine is handcrafted from the finest Moscato grapes grown in the central region of Moldova. The lively, fragrant bouquet, and gentle, fruity sweetness of this distinctive rose wine makes it a favorite drink at any time of the day, and any day of the year. Enjoy this Moscato Rose Dolce as a perfect accompaniment to any kind of foods and dessert. - Winery
The Premier Group started carrying Eagle Crest wines a year ago, after we met owner Will Ouweleen at an industry event in Albany. Shortly thereafter my family and I visited the vineyards, originally founded as O-Neh-Da Vineyard in 1872 by Bishop Bernard McQuaid, located about an hour from Orchard Park. We were treated to a wonderful tour of the estate and experienced the privilege of tasting his delicious, 100% Finger Lakes wine. This was one of the Draves family’s favorites, a 100% pure grape wine (no sugar added) offering tropical fruit on the nose, followed by pineapple and citrus notes, with mouthwatering grapefruity acidity on the finish. It is an off-dry, fruity, crisp wine that is pleasant enough for a party yet not out of place on the dinner table.
It could take days to enjoy all the complexity this youngster offers or if you lack the patience then don't be afraid to decant, it will only make it more giving. The precise use of oak seductively adds straw and dried fruit aromas to this rich, powerful wine. Even greater rewards will be reaped after at least 5 years of cellaring.
Food Pairings for Cdp Dom du Vieux Telegraph la Crau
Muscador’s Muscat grapes are aromatic and provide persistent notes for a characteristic flavour. The rosé has essentially floral notes and should be served very cool (between 6 and 8°C) and enjoyed as an aperitif, with desserts or to add a little sweetness to any time of the day.
