Very focused aromatics. Soft and subdued linear movement through the mouth. Well worth a second sip, even a second glass.
A fantastic wine to have in your cellar. This wine has a great nose and wonderful complex taste. I would rather have food with this wine, but can be drank alone.
Deliciously ripe black cherries. Compact elegant dry body with luxurious silky tannins. Some of the best integrated oak I've ever had.

Turns elegant and refined, yet shows a sturdy backbone on the finish. Best from 2009 through 2014. Dense ruby/purple with low acidity and huge amounts of fruit. This is a seamless, full-bodied Napa Cabernet Sauvignon to drink now and over the next 15+ years.

The core of this wine is a silky and amiably rich, textured base, with a pure Napa Valley Cabernet focus. Over the years we have found that one of the best methods for achieving a friendly character in the bottle is to blend wines possessing different attributes – combining top-quality fruit from several microclimates in our small yet diverse Valley. Using about 25% mountain fruit offers an opaqueness and structure that enriches the sweet fruit of the Valley floor. Such blending is an important part of Caymus Cabernet and its rich yet accessible character. 2005 produced a Cabernet Sauvignon of contemporary potential, saturated with dark color and big, ripe fruit.
