Caymus Spec Sel 750m 2010
On our Caribbean cruise. Enjoyed this bottle with a steakhouse dinner. Had a mini freak out because the cork had gone wet at the top. It was still a solid bottle. Smooth tannins. Sexy deep dark smell with a taste of dark deep plums and mellow berries. I absolutely love this wine. Plus it my Great Danes name so what better addition to a dark steakhouse with flavorful fillet

Aromas of sweet bing cherry and ripe, lush plum. The ripe fruit brings about abundant yet soft tannins.
This viscous cab has an inky core with a bright purple rim. The nose is plush with big pure aromas of black cherry, French vanilla, and stewed plum. Impressively integrated at this young age, this bottling does very well to represent the rich Napa ca... Ryan Moses. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 2010 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
Magnum, 1.5 Liters A truly legendary wine, Caymus Special Selection is a wine that Cab lovers simply can't get enough of. Introduced more than 30 years ago, Special Selection is a vivid expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley. Starting with the foundation of their Rutherford estate vineyard and then securing contracts for long-term farming control of vineyards across the valley, Caymus has been able to solidify the extraordinary character and over-the-top quality of this very special wine vintage after vintage. The Wine Spectator just scored this 2010 96 points saying "A seductive style that’s openly fruity, showing supple plum and black cherry notes, with floral scents and spices, turning creamy and gaining a mocha-espresso-vanilla scent that’s enticing. Finishes with a smooth texture, fine-grained tannins and then another burst of fruit. Drink now through 2025." Limited!
The newest vintage of Caymus Cabernet from the Napa Valley has now been released. Consistent vintage to vintage, the latest release from Caymus looks to be fabulous.
Charlie Wagner founded Caymus Vineyards in 1972 and has made Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon every year since its founding. Caymus focuses entirely on this variety and the winery's 60-plus acres of estate Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley's Rutherford District forms the foundation of Caymus' Cabernet every vintage. And every vintage Caymus Cabernet is snapped up by Cab lovers and collectors while it's lauded by critics. The 2009 scored 91 points by the Wine Spectator who said "Supple and creamy-textured, with mocha, ripe plum and cherry flavors that show touches of tobacco, espresso and underbrush. Full-bodied, gaining tannic traction on the finish, elegant and readily approachable. Drink now through 2018."

The flavors in this wine are genuinely good, but the textural elements are its most exceptional feature. The entry wanders, deliberating, then evolves and expands to cocoa- like fine tannins in harmony with oak, fruit and acidity. A balanced and harmonious wine with a long evolution.
