Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Deep Red/Purple, Closed nose from cellar temperature but opened after 30 minute decant to ~66 degrees. Aromas of black/red current jelly, fresh crushed blackberry, ripe black cherry skin. Flavors intense and match aromas, cassis, crushed fresh dark berries, with added warm spice(not overoaked). Harmonious balance of round tannins and acid. Full bodied. Mouth-coating long finish. Roasted leg of lamb, Rice Pilaf, peas, biscuits and mint jelly. Hold? Can't get much better! March 2010

Wonderful Cab I wish I could afford to drink more often. Classy with rich tannins and a potent oak note. Hints of currants, mochas, and a little spice to top everything off. I recommend opening and enjoying now!

Deep ruby red, spicy nose with definite mocha smell and taste. Long smoothe finish. One of the best wines I've ever had! October 2009

The up-front, sexy 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa reveals the vintage's ripe headiness along with loads of glycerin, a juicy, fat texture, a dark ruby/purple color, and abundant cassis, herb, licorice, and smoke characteristics. Drink it over the next decade.

Aromas of herb, currant and cedar are richer and fuller on the palate. Firms up, with dried currant, earth, vanilla bean and herbal sage notes. The tannins are tight. Decant. Drink now through 2011.

Here's an extraordinary wine to add to your cellar collection. It's a guaranteed ager. Supported by rich, sturdy tannins, it shows a firm, dry mouthfeel and deep flavors of blackberries, with a seamless hem of toasty oak. So balanced, so powerful and elegant, it's at the top of its class, and proves that the floor of the Napa Valley can produce great Cabernet. Drink now-2020.

This extraordinary wine possesses an enormous wealth of black cherry, blueberry, cassis and espresso flavors, wrapped in fine, well-toasted oak. Has the rare quality of elegance, in which all the parts work together in harmony. Thoroughly dry, it's marked by a firm, astringent tannic structure now, but is a certain cellar candidate. Should begin to blossom by 2008 and hold through 2015.

A showy young wine that's smooth, rich and concentrated. Delivers firm, intense yet supple layers of currant, cedar, toasty, cedary oak and tannins that firm up, offering hints of mineral, sage and dusty berry. Best from 2009 through 2013.

Smooth, rich and seductive, with impeccable balance, great depth and lots of finesse and flavor. The layers of plum, black cherry, mocha, spice and wild berry flavors unfold gracefully, giving it a long, supple aftertaste. Drink now through 2012.

Lots of rich, creamy oak and a tasty core of ripe currant, plum and black cherry fruit combine to form this notably complex and concentrated young wine. Delicious from start to finish, with a long fruity aftertaste and fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2011.
