Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Very Lightly Bin-Marked Label Writing On Label 2000

Winemaker's Notes:

Color: Deep ruby. Aroma: Expansive aromas of black currant (cassis), blackberry and slightly briary boysenberries; an overall impression of richly ripe fruit. Secondary notes of cedar from the very well integrated oak. Flavor/Texture: The taste follows directly from the aromas, with remarkable consistency. Pure, clear flavors of black currant and blackberry seem to fan out across the palate, underlined by subtler notes of anise, toasted spice and roasted coffee beans. The softer, rounded blueberry flavors of Merlot seem more intense at mid-palate. However, the overall flavor spectrum is essentially seamless. The texture is substantial and full, and the finish is long and sweet.
