Croze Hermitage is one of the french "appelation" that will be a must have... This 2005 is a very interesting Crozes, very soft.
I tossed it down the insinkerator--just for good measure. This wine--at least the bottle I got at Binny's in Chicago--had long turned to a watery precursor of vinegar. Nothing like the smooth and rich fruity elixir of the same grape, same, vintage, same appellation produced by Emmanuel Darnaud of which I had just drank the last bottles discoverable in Chicago. Save yourself the relatively inexpensive price. Buy the still available Belle version of the same year instead--as my Binny's salesman Greg warned me ahead of time. Why pour $18 down the drain when you can really enjoy yourself for $25?
