Rating: 4/5 - As reviewed by Decanter Restrained. Wonderful power - brooding and intense. Generous, full with grip, ripe fruit and power. Superbly balanced, powerful and long. Drink 5-10 years.

5 out of 5 - first time ive given that this year i think. An incredible wine, and certainly the only Italian wine ive ever given top marks to.

This is a Barolo, for sure, but it tones down a lot of the jarring secondary aromas many Barolos have (tar, truffles, barnyeard, violets), and while they are still there, its much more in balance, with notes to mint on the nose, and then fennel, cherry and leather on the mid palate. Beautiful!
