What to Expect

Nebbiolo is a fickle grape famed as much for its pale appearance as for its tannic character and produces some of the most perfumed and richly flavored wines. Though generally only medium-bodied, the wines possess rose and anise scented aromatics and deep flavors of cherry, orange peel and subtle green herb tones.

This was released in the same lot as the 79. Also very fresh but showing significantly more aromatic evolution than the 79 with a fine balanced blend of evolved tones of camphor and gunpowder adding contrast to the dark red fruits.in the mouth this offered great depth yet showed more youthfully than the nose implied with a powerfully, chewy texture and chunky tannins that could use some time to resolve. Again this late in the evening I am not perfectly equiped to delve into the detail of the wine but I am confident this is worthy of at least
