Food Pairings for Castle Rock Petite Sirah Lodi
You must be a Petite Sirah lover to drink this one. Most in our group did not like due to heavy tannins. This wine can definately use some paring with the proper food. Myself I can drink this anytime. The 3.5 is based upon a mixture of in attendance liking a lighter style of red.
External Reviews for Castle Rock Petite Sirah Lodi
For sale by case. Our Castle Rock Petite Sirah is produced from grapes grown in California's Lodi region, which is recognized as a premium growing location for Petite Sirah grapes. Here, the classic Mediterranean climate and distinctive sandy soils provide the perfect environment for the production of first class wines. This Petite Sirah is a dark, full-bodied, deeply concentrated wine, yielding aromas of ripe berry, coffee, grain and spice. On the palate it carries layers of ripe cherry, blackberry and plum, and its finish is long-lasting and harmonious with well-integrated tannins. It makes an excellent accompaniment to beef, game, spicy grilled food or char-broiled meats.
