Wine Tasting Notes This elegant, barrel fermented Chardonnay offers a rich, ripe and fruity character with a delicious blending of vanilla, pear, citrus and melon flavors, subtle oak undertones and a long, balanced finish. Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, the wine was barrel fermented and aged for nine months, including six months of lees contact, using a combination of new French oak barrels, as well as two-to-three year old French and American oak barrels. One of Californias most exceptional Central Coast vineyards produced the grapes for fine Chardonnay.

Tasted at UNLVino 4/10/10
It smells like a ripe apple, but the taste and finish is bitter. I've tried this wine in two types of white wine glasses and the conclusion is the same. It's almost as though it is a sauvignon blanc aged in oak. It doesn't taste like chardonnay.
