Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Nothing to really write home about with this medium-bodied cabernet. Interesting molasses/vanilla/black cherry flavors might be able to add to a not-so-rich meal.

Wonderful oak notes throughout...if you do not care for a "woodier" wine then this may not be for you. Enjoy this wine with a bloody cut of steak or just as nicely with a well prepared pork loin...

Bright and supple, this cab has smoothed out all its tannic edges by the second day. Candied cherries on the nose, and ripe black currant as the main character. It really has an herby taste to it all throughout. Maybe it’s the leftover tannins that taste, and feel almost like oregano.

This is a classic, rich Cabernet Sauvignon with a dark purple color and expressive aromas of black cherry and spice. On the palate the wine is intense, luscious and full-bodied with a rich core of berry and earthy flavors, and there are hints of spice and vanilla in its long harmonious finish. It makes an excellent companion to beef, lamb, venison and most cheeses.

Normally, one has certain expectations of Cabernets in this price range. Sure, it's ruby-colored and has a medium body like most others, but it is surprisingly more complex. With hints of cloves, chocolate and berries on the nose, earthier elements (such as tobacco) for your taste buds, and a long finish, this wine is quite a deal. Would go best with any grilled meat.

A bold Cabernet Sauvignon with great plushness on the palate, minty, herbal notes on the nose, and a luxurious mouthfeel. Made in the Alexander Valley, this is a satisfying and pleasing example of classic California winemaking.

Castle Rock Cabernet Sauvignon is made from grapes grown in the Napa Valley, one of Californias most prestigious appellations, where the climate and soil conditions are perfect for this important varietal. This elegant full-bodied wine has a deep ruby color, has aromas of dark cherry and molasses, and is loaded with nuance and flavor. On the palate it gives flavors of black cherry, ripe plum and spice with hints of light oak. These flavors unite to form a long, smooth and harmonious finish.A young and perky little Cabernet, with black cherry and toasty oak aromas and spicy blackberry and espresso flavors. Just enough depth and tannins keep things interesting. Drink now.

Very rich and ripe, with jammy blackberries, cherries, cola, vanilla and cedar. Smooth and generous.
