Oaky cherry goodness with a lot of warm complexity. If there was ever a bargain Cali Cab fruit bomb, this is it. Read more

Bright rich red color. Sweet cherry flavor, moderately dry. Well balanced, although a little on the sweet fruity side for me. Read more

Smooth, velvety, full bodied taste. All the flavor is at that the tip of the tongue. Great value. Tastes like a $30 dollar bottle. Read more

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

A bold Cabernet Sauvignon with great plushness on the palate, minty, herbal notes on the nose, and a luxurious mouthfeel. Made in the Alexander Valley, this is a satisfying and pleasing example of classic California winemaking.

Castle Rock Cabernet Sauvignon is made from grapes grown in the Napa Valley, one of California’s most prestigious appellations, where the climate and soil conditions are perfect for this important varietal. This elegant full-bodied wine has a deep ruby color, has aromas of dark cherry and molasses, and is loaded with nuance and flavor. On the palate it gives flavors of black cherry, ripe plum and spice with hints of light oak. These flavors unite to form a long, smooth and harmonious finish. A young and perky little Cabernet, with black cherry and toasty oak aromas and spicy blackberry and espresso flavors. Just enough depth and tannins keep things interesting. Drink now.

Winemaker's Notes:

Sold by the case. At Castle Rock Winery we produce our wines using the highest quality grapes from the finest growing regions on the western coast. Our Castle Rock Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from grapes grown on the beautiful south-facing vineyards in the prestigious Columbia Valley, which shares the same latitude as the Bordeaux region of France. To soften and add complexity, it has spent 18 months aging in French oak barrels. This full-bodied wine offers layers of concentrated flavors of cassis, blackberry, black cherry, and ripe plum, with a hint of light oak. All these flavors unite to form a long, smooth, and harmonious finish.
