Labastida Wineries and Vineyards combines the traditional wine-making ethos with the latest technological developments so as to make the best wines. Its spacious, modern premises make for a large production capacity. The Winery has vats of very varied sizes in which wines are aged separately %u2013 from small blends to large volumes. This large capacity means that each varietal can be vinified independently, giving 7 different qualities.
Very fruity, bright nose. Smooth, a little chalky, with lots of black pepper.
Deep ruby color - a bit of black pepper, red fruit and spice. Juicy and fresh, with a good zest of acidity, some black pepper bite and an herbal finish.
This was a bit acidic. Lots of fresh, tart berries and some earthiness. But I found the acidity to cut through a bit too much. Might be OK with some pizza.
