Castelvecchi Capotondo Chianti Classico 2014
Winemaker's Notes:
Loaded red with pleasant purple hues. Good body, good acidity and freshness, with prevailing floral notes, hints of red and purple roses. The scent of red fruits prevails, with tendencies to ripe fruit like forest fruit, blueberry, cherry and plum, slightly spicy. A wine of great harmony, typical and balanced, of great character.
Editorial Reviews for Castelvecchi Capotondo Chianti Classico
Moist savory earth and mineral rich notes alongside tight red currant and cherry aromas. This overdelivers on fruit at first, with ripe cherry and strawberry preserves curiously tightening towards the mid palate into a blend of tart cranberry and sour cherry with a hint of medicine on the finish.
