Castello Vicchiomaggio la Prima Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

Ruby red with brick red nuances. Cherry notes and ripe fruit. Extremely elegant, non-invasive, with tannins well present but velvety and round. Appreciable already from now, it will develop and give its best over the years.

Light earth and mushroom notes on the nose with savory balsamic vinegar fruit aromas of raspberry, strawberry and red currant. Perfectly balanced in the mouth with bright cherry and strawberry fruit, a hint of fresh herb and delicate flowers with refreshing acidity and silky tannins in total harmony. An impressive wine with age potential and excellent approachability today. 94 pts
