Castello Monaci Negroamaro Salento IGT Maru 2007
Maybe not as amazing as the Masseria, but I still like it a lot. would be a great, not too overpowering food wine for a less powerful dish. nice dark plums and balanced acidity.

89 Points Robert Parker, Jr., The Wine Advocate publication date: Feb 1 2008 "The Negroamaro Maru isn't quite as generous as the Piluna but it does reveal an exotic expression of dried figs, plums, cherries, spices, herbs and tobacco. It is an absolutely delicious wine to drink now and over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2011."
