A bit of new wood greets the nose. It’s integrated but there, and not detracting from the very clean and rather precise aromas of jammy, small berry red fruit and some spiced plum notes. On entry, this is very cool and lean. Really quite elegant in the mouth with a lovely feel. Bright, fresh and layered and showing wonderful fruit framed by faintly bitter cherry extract and spice notes. The ripe tannins carry though the finely fruited finish. 92pts
