Tasting Colour Brilliant garnet, typical of wines obtained from Nebbiolo grapes Nose Elegant, its varietal perfumes marry perfectly with fresh eucalyptus notes (typical of this particular vineyard), slightly withered flowers (pink, purple) and a sweet spices aftertaste Taste Balanced tannins with a refreshing acidity. Notable harmony, structure and persistence. Suggestion Serving temperature 18 - 19 °C Matching food Agnolotti and ravioli with "sugo di arrosto", "gnocchi al castelmagno", "tagliatelle" or other pasta, roast pork, goat or lamb. Potential ageing 10 years and more if kept in suitable conditions

Castello di Neive:
Castello di Neive comprises a 150 acres (60 hectares) estate, all in the Neive town council, in the Langhe area of the Piedmont region. Sixty-two acres (25 hectares) of the property are devoted to grape growing and all the production, which amounts to an average of 12.000 cases a year, is obtained from Castello di Neive’s own vineyards.

AWE blind tasting - noticeable toasty wood, some nice macerated fruits and flowers underneath but mostly noticeable wood, cool and crisp with good focus in the mouth but overall a muted wine with fairly woody tannins and a nice bitter cherry core trying to fight through, bitter drying finish, 84-85
