Castello di Meleto Rosso Toscano 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

87 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): The 2009 Rosso Toscano is an attractive, juicy wine bursting with dark cherries, flowers and sweet spices. This plump, generous red is best enjoyed over the next few years, while the wine retains its juiciness. The Rosso is 50% Sangiovese, 35% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. It is a fabulous wine for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2014. (Jun 2012)

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
