Inky dark in the glass. Nose is a tad sour, maybe alcoholic. Initial tongue sensation is fairly smooth. Cassis flavor at the very tip of the tongue. As the wine travels through the palate tartness appears. A touch of tannin around the edge of the tongue. I just opened this bottle. I wonder if anything new will emerge as it gets more air. US$15.99 at Total Wines last summer.
