Winemaker's Notes:

The Sangiovese grapes used to make this wine were pruned and trained in the cordon method, 5,800 vines per hectare. The soil composition is yellow clay, tuff, gravel and broken rocks. The vineyards' exposure is south-west and the altitude is 350 metres above sea level. The average age of the vines is 18 years. Grapes were harvested by hand in October and fermented at 28 to 30 degrees Celsius. They macerated for fourteen days and spent six months in cask. 60,000 cases produced.

Very classic aromas of raspberry and ripe cherry. Medium bodied and very refreshing with powdered sugar, cocoa powder, raspberry preserves, black cherry and a clean well balanced finish. 4/5
