Two and a half glasses
The nose on this wine offers little evidence of fruit. Most present is oak and almond and a very present tone of alcohol and a bit of tarry essence. On the palette the tannins offer a lot to the body of this light to medium bodied varietal. The fruit presence reveals itself here with currants and the finish is slightly almond. The tannins compound, themselves glass after glass.
Nose: rich, sweet, blackcurrant, juicy & meaty. Palate: blackcurrant, blackberry, dark minerals, earthy spices, firm tannic structure/backbone. Long on the palate, complex, with fine sharp acid.
