We had this wine about 5 nights at dinner on a recent cruise we took (vintage 2007). It is an excellent, smooth, lighter red that goes good with both meat & fish - not too powerful and very drinkable. Not too dry with hints of berries. These Barbera wines are very under-rated and still not very discovered - so their price points are very good!
Excellent...especially for the price. Was on a cruise about a year ago, and I chose this as our table wine the first night and every night after that. Robust, vibrant, and perfect to have with pasta or steak.
