Castellani Valpolicella 2006
There's lots of ripe currant, flowers and oak on the nose and palate. Full-bodied, with firm tannins and a long finish of spice and mineral. A quality wine, but a little foursquare now. Needs time. Best after 2010.Add winemaker's notes

Shows dried berry, spice and cigar box notes, with dried fruits. Full-bodied, with round, caressing tannins and lots of ripe fruit and toasty oak, yet balanced and juicy. Why wait? But patience will pay off. Best from 2011 through 2018.
This is a top-notch Amarone, executed in a modern style, with incredible softness and intensity of flavors. The wine offers bursting cherry and currant berry fruit with playfully tart sweetness on the close. It's a lovely creation.
