Reviews

I continue to be blown away by the great values coming out of Spain, and this is one of them. Huge nose, with aromas of black fruit and spice. The fruit just explodes on the palette, with lots of vanilla, raspberry and cherry flavors. Very concentrated with a very nice long finish. At $12 this is a great value.

Opaque ruby. Ripe, brooding kirsch and blackcurrant aromas are further deepened by licorice and espresso. A real black hole on the palate, with slowly unfolding dark fruit liqueur flavors, chewy tannins and a long, sweet, compote-like finish. This should be great with grilled or braised lamb. Very serious for this price.

Consistently called one of Spain's greatest wine values, this wine, like most from this small D.O. of Costers del Segre in Western Catalonia, tends to be more spice driven with high fruit concentration and often a sauvage character that is quite appealing and delicious. Current & Spicy aroma. Velvety on the palate. Initial dryness with unfolding flavor. A good wine for it's value @ $11.99 @ NH outlet
