Casillero del Diablo Carmenére Aktionspaket 2009
"Deep red. Unctuous cherry, cassis, cedar, blackberry, black tar and smoke-led presence. Tight and focused with a deep concentration of flavours framed by firm tannins. A smooth, almost silky texture masks the firm tannic structure beneath, which really comes to the fore at the beginning of the long finish." --Winemaker's notes
My Rating 84: This wine has no off notes, is well balanced fruity not much complexity. Nose is fruity well balanced. An everyday wine that i would offer to guest that do not know to much about wine. They will be very happy!!!!

One of my favorite wines. Period. Delicious, smooth and spicy. Long lasting finish. Great price, too.
2010 Xmas gift from Travis
Stevige en volle smaak, veel rood fruit (bessen, framboos. Afdronk iets houtigs (eiken ?).
A nice wine for an nice but common dinner with some friends. Strong nice red color. Normal viscosity. I sensed nice blackberry, plum and some spicy kind of pepperish notes. Though intense not very complex to the nose. In mouth is dry, hot and with the right softness. I find it bodied but lacking some "hardness" like freshness and tannins.

Once upon a time this Concha y Toro label was a Best Buy regular. At $21 it no longer qualifies, but itrsquo;s every bit an excellent wine in 2006. Aromas of plum, cola, pepper and Christmas spice are alluring, while the palate is saturated yet balanced. Flavors of plum and berry are perfectly ripe, and the structure and texture are just right.
Glass-staining ruby. Powerful aromas of red and dark berries, incense and fresh rose. Fleshy, gently sweet black raspberry and cherry liqueur flavors stain the palate and become firmer with air, gaining a zesty anise quality. Finishes with a strong echo of dark berries and persistent spiciness. Irsquo;d resist the temptation to open this for another few years.
Fleshy and ripe, with plum and black currant fruit offset by nice cocoa powder and mineral notes. Hint of loam as well. Drink now through 2006.
This Chilean Merlot from world-renowned producer Concha y Toro is very complex, and has amazing structure for such an affordable red. The nose is rich and spicy, while the wine revels tons of full fruit and big tannin. Packed with plum and blackberry fruit, along with a great balancing acidity, this is a great addition to any steak dinner.
This wine is made from grapes grown in prime Peumo vineyards in the Rapel Valley. It has been aged in French oak barrels for 14 months. The plum and cherry fruit flavors are balanced and supported by the oak. It is full-bodied with a smooth finish. Enjoy this delicious Merlot with broiled steak or lamb chops.
A robust, lightly herbal take on merlot, this winersquo;s flavors are ripe mdash; similar to blackberry jam and figs mdash; carried on a dense, chocolatey texture. A red for winter with ripe cheeses.
Rich and stylish on one hand, and brawny and bold on the other. This saturated, meaty bruiser starts with dark plum, cassis and eucalyptus aromas. Then comes a parade of chewy, high-powered fruit flavors: currant, cherry and blackberry. Casual back notes of chocolate and caramel cement this generous offering.
