Cascina Bruni "Barbera d'Asti Villa Lisa DOC Italy" 2009

Member Review by willymitch:

Light, tart, enjoyable. Lots of ruby grapefruit. I got it for $14.50, which I think is more appropriate.

Spumante Brut and, the last but not the least, the most classic one: our Barolo Chinato. And the last-born, the novello (young wine) of 'villa lisa" and the villa lisa Rose (monferrato Chiaretto). The Veglio family, owner of the "Cascina Bruni" winery for over 10o years, produces, makes and ages his wines, keeping from generation to generation his own philosophy of production. this goes from the limited production of the vineyards to the wine-making and to the ageing which are made separately, vineyard per vineyard, careful to report the vineyard of origin on the label.
