Casas del Bosque Pinot Noir Reserve 2005
Made from hand harvested grapes from the Casablanca Valley. The result is an elegant wine, well balanced and rounded. Casas del Bosque Pinot Noir Reserva 2005 has plum and cherry aromas with flowers and violet notes. On the palate, the oak adds smoke and vanilla with velvety tannins.
Loved this wine when I was eating vineyard-side in the Casa Blanca valley of Chile, and 5 years later on this rainy night,(my favorite time to drink Pinot), it's exceptional. Smooth and smoky, very rich in berry and not to strong on the alcohol. The bouquet is complex and it rolls around in your mouth.
