Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Eight months in oak, split between French and Romanian oak Honey, a nice spice and toast top note, focused on entry, nice honey notes on entry but they are light, fresh style, very light creamy edge, bright acids, crisp apple fruit a bit of lemon curd, light pineapple notes not he backend, firm backend, finishes dry and determined, with a little wood tannin adding some mouth grab, fairly aromatic finish with a touch of honeycomb and lightly cooked heirloom apple fruit, toasty notes really linger on finish though they’re neither sweet nor pronounced just very light and elegant. 89pts

Was looking for a dry, medium to light body un-oaked, refreshing chardonnay with a bit of incisiveness to be used as an aperitif or to cut through a rich fish dish. In this respect, it meets these criteria. This is a well-made wine. However, the flavor appears somewhat attenuated and could use a bit more of the Chardonnay characteristics.
