Smoky, dried herb, a bit of bramble, crushed blackberry fruit, a little top note of vanilla and some high quality wood spice wild berry and earth, dry earth, white earth, lovely wine, this has a very well balanced and defined structure covered with soft textured fruit that remain crisp, fruit driven but not fruity with stemmy elements and a dusty mineral note, almost gravelly, not the most varietal perhaps in that it's ripe enough to have lost most of its vegetal character but this has vivid fruit and fine persistence with a real mineral element, 87pts
