Casa Silva Carmenere Reserva Lingues 2006
Paid 16 US bones for this bottle. Not too bad for the price! The nose is AWSOME. To me, it smells like if you took vanilla and poured it over some kind of spiced bread. (That's just me.) But taste: the front and mid-palate are not there for me. It's all in the finish. The vanilla smell really comes through on the taste. I'd pair this with vanilla wafers and pudding perhaps. Drinkability on a long, hard day after work: NOT RECOMMEDED --- Drinkability on a Friday night to experiment with a new wine: EXCELLENT

Deep ruby with a violet rim. On the nose, intense, with notesof ripe black fruits with hints of wild forest fruits. On the palate, good balance between fruit and oak, good structure, powerfull, sweet and round tannins, and notes of boysenberries and hintsof tobacco. Excellent finish.
