This wine will charm you with its dark red color, tinted with violet hues. One will find blackberry, roses, dark chocolate and menthol in its bouquet. Its palate has a lively structure with chewy tannins; creating a great taste experience.
Varieties:
40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Malbec, 20% Carmenere and 10% Cabernet Franc. All the varieties are estate grown from Sandy Clay Loam
Harvest:
Only hand-picked grapes, during the second week of April and the beginning of May 2004.

Clos Centenaire is a red blend composed from some of Casa Donoso’s finest grapes. The 2005 vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), Malbec (30%), Carmenére (20%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). Carmenére is rarely found in modern Bordeaux blends; it was not replanted after the Phylloxera blight of the late 19th century. In the early 1800s, Carmenére was brought to Chile from Bordeaux where, until recently, it was often mistaken for Merlot.
