80% sangiovese, 20% cabernet Sauvignon This is packed with smoldering herb, black currants and jammy black cherries on the nose. A bit soft on entry and frankly fruity with some wild raspberry and blackberry notes early on the palate. This is a bit fleshy and made in a very friendly style with a nice touch of grape skin tannins and some well integrated acids which makes this well behaved at this price point but leaves the wine feeling a bit flat in the mouth. raw, simple and short on the finish with the tannins really taking control, this is a pleasant, rustic little fruity wine with attractive aromatics. 82pts

This is a very innovative product, a young "Super-Tuscan", whose characteristics are never found together in the same wine. Dogajolo combines the power and deep colors of a young wine, the elegance and balance given by wood aging, as well as a fruity and fragrant bouquet. Grapes: Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Vinification Technique: the two grape varieties are vinified separately, since they ripen at different times. Toward the end of fermentation they are blended and placed in small wooden casks where they slowly complete alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Finishing: Dogajolo is bottled between the last week of March and the first week of April of the year after harvest. It is excellent when young, but as with any red wine of good mettle, it ages well.
Fruity and intense flavors, with hints of berries, coffee, vanilla, and spice are matched with a supple tannin structure and a long finish.
The nose is fruity with hints of cherry, coffee, vanilla and spice. It is full and soft on the palate with complex and well-developed flavors and tannins.
Aromas of violets, berries and cherries make up the bouquet. A full-bodied wine that is well-balanced with a velvety texture and rounded tannins.
