2003 is the first vintage of Amancaya. It represents a fruity wine which is slightly tannic and where the charm of Malbec can fully assert itself. The shorter maceration and barrel ageing in comparison to CARO, favor fruit and roundness. Beautiful dark color; fruity (red fruit) and spicy notes on the nose. Nice concentration, fleshy, wood well melted with fruit. Gentle tannins and nice length. Amancaya is pleasant to drink soon after bottling or can be kept for 3 to 5 years. Grape Varieties: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Malbec

Wine Skinny

A new wine from Domaines Barons de Rothschild and the Catena family, this Argentinean red is half Cabernet Sauvingon and half Malbec. It is quite , with smooth, supple, chocolate-laced black cherry and cassis fruit. Picks up tobacco, spice, toasty oak and mocha notes on the lush finish. Ready to drink now and over the next three or four years.
