Well integrated tannins with a silky lasting finish, med-full bodied wine. Excellent with cheese, olives and steak. By far the best wine I had in the Mendoza region.
In seven months In Argentina, I tried nothing comparable to Señor Carmelo's Cab. I feel horribly guilty, because I drank up a bottle meant for sharing with My friend, restaurateur Christophe Gourdain, all by myself. Perfectly balanced & complex, the blackcurrant is enlivened by subtle mentholated typicity. I'll have to find a few bottles to share & to put away.
Typical cabernet aromas, blackcurrants with a touch of woody spice. In the mouth it shows a charming rustic quality, loads of herby notes, with a black olive minerality. Lovely smooth tannins, v good length. A really delightful wine.
I recently tasted this wine, its really smooth in mouth, with correct tannins. I had to deal with a deffected cork ( maybe a wrong conservation ) but i won finally. The rustic quality doesnt work for me, i preferred for this price something like Navarro Correo Alegoria Cabernet 2005, with more complexity.

Tasted May 2008, this wine was showing beautifully. Soft, finely integrated tannins offered exceptional structure to this silky, med-full bodied wine. Flavors of currant and cherry fruit were still powerful, with secondary aromas yet to develop. Bright red, with a structured and lasting finish.
