Winemaker's Notes:

Medium-dark to dark garnet-ruby. A sexy bouquet of raspberry, kirsch, bittersweet chocolate, and cardamom is highlighted by a suggestion of rose petal. Medium full-bodied, the palate explodes with berry fruit, tree bark, and orange peel. With aeration, a note of smoked game emerges. Very complex! While slightly richer than the 2007, lively acidity keeps the wine fresh and vibrant. Like many mourvèdre-based wines, this will age very well. Drink from late 2012 through 2022.
