Caracol Serrano Jumilla 2012

Member Review by Kristin Watts:

Nice oak jumps out at you with a slightly sweet black cherry top note...in the mouth this is bright and fresh and packs a punch with its acidity, yet ends pretty smooth!

After three generations of growing and selling grapes, Pedro Jose Martinez decided to keep some fruit for himself and in the mid 1990's started making wine. This blend of monastrell, syrah and cab is quite the hedonistic conversation stopper.

This plush red, coming from the dry, desert-like region of Jumilla, is a blend of Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. Black plum, Asian spice, and dried herb notes fill the palate, while the finish lasts forever.
