We started Captûre Wines because we were collectively inspired by the vineyard we discovered that rises almost 2,500 feet above the Alexander Valley floor on Pine Mountain, and we shared a vision of crafting a portfolio of world-class, Bordeaux-style wines from our corner of California. The team behind Captûre Wines is united around a deep respect for Tin Cross Vineyards and a commitment to the finest expression of our mountain fruit through time-honored Bordeaux winemaking methods. Captûre Wines represent the marriage of time-honored Bordeaux winemaking with the intense fruit character of our organically farmed mountain estate, Tin Cross Vineyards. Renowned winemaking team May-Britt and Denis Malbec, formerly of Château Latour in Bordeaux, create our wines to bring out the rich personality of our terroir. The resulting wines are elegant expressions of depth, nuance and longevity. We look forward to sharing them with you. Although our winery is not open to the public for tastings, please let us know if you are planning a visit to Healdsburg, as we can occasionally accommodate private tours of our vineyard, nestled among the 240 acres of our Pine Mountain estate. Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Less fruit than most roses - small estate wine. Tasting date: march 2011.

An elegant, restrained style, this still has plenty of ripe fruit flavors, with citrus, melon and apricot notes, but the silky texture, mineral details, perfumed highlights and acidity that weaves in and out provide an air of refinement. Drink now.

A bone-dry, slightly green Sauvignon Blanc, with lemongrass and gooseberry flavors, boosted with vibrant acidity. Feels elegant and sleek, but wonrsquo;t appeal to everyone. The grapes for this unoaked wine came from Sonoma and Lake counties.

Pale color. Aromas of Meyer lemon, fresh sage and minerals, with a sweaty nuance that reminded me of Loire sauvignon. Dense and ripe, but with firm minerality accentuating the piercing quality of the grapefruit and lemon zest flavors. Finishes brisk and long, still a bit youthfully tight. Classy and energetic wine.
