Caposaldo Pinot Grigio Veneto 2008
pears everywhere. in my nostrils, on my tongue. never had an experience like this before. on the nose the pears are more candied. like those spotted "top pear" jelly belly beans mixed with delmonte canned pears. did I mention pears? Towards the end of the bottle the sweetness turned into a sour pear core. interesting.
I thought this rivaled the Santa Margherita. Fresh, clean. Paired with yellowtail snapper and swiss chard, this was perfect!
I really enjoy this wine. Light but interesting.
The best ever!
External Reviews for Caposaldo Pinot Grigio Veneto
Plump and juicy, offering pretty apricot and clementine flavors. An easy-drinking white, with tangy acidity and a modest finish.
This is a bright, affordable Pinot Grigio that offers pristine aromas of passion fruit, citrus and green fruit. There's zesty spice on the crisp close and the wine keeps the palate very refreshed.
Produced from grapes grown near the Soave zone, this pale gold wine has delicate flavors of apples and white fruits with just a hint of almonds on the clean, vibrant finish.
