Cape Mentelle Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

"A bold and meaty wine that has a very fresh, fragrant and lively style that makes for exciting tasting. There are some very smooth, mellow and nicely ripe rich fruits on offer — no to mention custard spices, mocha oak and dark chocolate. It's all very complex and alluring. The palate has supple, soft and ripe mulberries, which go hand in hand with plum flavors, blueberry pie, some pastry-like moments and a fluffy, approachable tannin texture. Drinking well now, this has a long window of enjoyment ahead — up to two decades. Brilliant!" - James Suckling *(96 Points)*

Cape Mentelle Vineyards:
Cape Mentelle, sister to Cloudy Bay, is one of the founding wineries of Margaret River. Soon after launch, the winery twice won the Jimmy Watson Trophy, Australia’s most prestigious wine award. Margaret River has limestone soils reminiscent of Bordeaux, and a climate tempered by ocean currents, resulting in expressive and well-structured wines.
