The Capanna estate has been owned by the Cencioni family since 1957 and is situated to the north of Montalcino which has always been considered one of the best "crus" of Brunello. The farm is operated exclusively by the family and has been considered to be a point of reference for traditionalists. The wines are produced in the most traditional fashion and could even be considered rustic by some modern standards.
