graham cracker and beef nose, some liquory medicinal herb tones, nicely put together, still tight and youthful, good freshness and density to the slightly astringent red cherry fruit, wild raspberry, slightly spicy, slightly herbal peppery, nice crisp tannin, ice feel, good sweetness on the palate, not vulgar, nice mineral bitter background note very clear

I tried another bottle of this recently, it tasted better a few years back when I first tried it. To be fair I am not a great Nebbiolo fan, for what ever reason I find some of the lower price point bottles to be inconsistent for some reason.

Ein bewundernswerter tiefgründiger und vielschichtiger Wein mit Aromen von dunklen Früchten , Lakritze & Rauch, dazu schokowürzige und balsamische Noten. Eine tolle Gratwanderung zwischen den präsenten Gerbstoffen und der prononcierter Säure auf der einen Seite, sowie die Füllige Frucht und gut stützender Eichenholzwürze auf der anderen beherrschen nur wenige im Piemont.

Albesani stammt aus den leicht wärmeren Lagen, östlich von Neive. Er zeigt sich dunkelbeerig mit viel Kraft am Gaumen und allen Facetten einen Grossen Nebbiolo’s, welche leicht an einen Barolo erinnern.
