Canti Estate Gavi 2012

Member Review by zinfandel1:

Light straw color with slight hint of greenish hues. Aroma is flowery with granny smith apple. On the palate there is some mineral, dry but soft and very fresh with some nice fruit in the background. The finish is on the short side. This is my first exposure to the Cortese Grape and I find it interesting.

A pleasant surprise. A nice citrus - almost lemon oil - scent on the nose with a hint of nut or bark - perhaps almond? Good viscosity and acidity adds to a pleasant mouth feel with little astringency. Of course, there is no complexity, but none is expected. A delicious sipper at an unbelievable price!
