Campus Oak Zinfandel United States California Central Valley Lodi 2007
Our favorite wine for the past 4 yrs. We buy bottles and bottles of this! Jammy, bold, and spicy. Awesome every time.
I had previously tried the Gnekow Family Winery Zinfandel Old Vines Cum Laude Reserve Campus Oaks 2004, which I picked up at Raleys for about $20. So when I saw this wine at Costco for under $9 I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. Very light bodied for a Zin, jammy with a perfect balance of acidity. Would make a refreshing summer sipping wine. A definite bargain!
Light in color for a zin, but very peppy. Pleasantly fruity and sweet in a not-annoying way. Started out a little acidic but mellowed quickly. Fantastic drinking wine for the price. Paired perfectly well wit ratatouille and hummus.
My favorite Zin for under $20. Very jammy and fruitful. Delicious!!
