This smelled fantastic with fresh and crisp black fruits, sharp mineral cut and hints of oak and something rosemary and violet like. Supple and polished in the mouth with an exposion of youthful fruit. Balanced a bit to the acidic side this is a great wine for the table. 91pts

I love this nose with it's crisp black fruits, smoky mineral tones, touch of tree bark and well judged oak it expresses freshness and intensity of pure fruit. In the mouth this is youthfully taut with deep yet elegant dark fruit edged with mineral spice and oak tones. The tannins are very polished and well integrated and the acidity is perfectly measured. A lovely wine. 92pts

Dried, sun-baked Tuscan aromas -- flavors are dusty, but there's plenty of dried fruit showing the terroir of Tuscany very well. A solid wine to serve with food.

Yellow cake on the nose, I swear! Bright, luxurious, powdery, and complex with a slight medicinal vibe. This wine has my attention. Really like this.

Earthiness and smoky black pepper are laced throughout this lovely, ripe dark fruited wine. Bold and racy indeed. Wonderful blend of these varietals and a bottle I'd likely get to enjoy more of. - Tasted at Marché Bacchus 3/13/10

Excellent Bordeaux style with the character of a Tuscan terroir. A nice round wine with good structure moderately firm but smooth tannins. It has that Tuscan character even with no sangiovese.

Insoglio is a supple and early maturing wine with a distinctive personality; it emphasizes intense fruitiness with a bouquet of ripe red berries. Rich fruit and a good backbone of fine tannins. It is a pleasant wine that will gain in complexity with another few months in the bottle.
