Campo del Drago 2003
Dark ruby red color with intense aromas of rich raspberry jam and rum raisin. Followed by clove, smoked meat and charred wood. Really serious wine on the nose. On the Palate, blackberry and plum with earthy backbone and flavors of leather and black pepper on the long and intense finish. Tannin is a little rough for the first 2 hours after opening but turned soft and plush after a good amount of air. The best 2003 Brunello I've had to date.
Ripe berry and toasty oak flavors. Velvety. -Tasted 9/12/09 Marche' Bacchus
