Camino del Toro Malbec 2009

Member Review by mandbprior:

Smooth with the flavors noticeable, yet not overbearing. A fine example of a Malbec.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

A violet red wine with aromas of cherries, blackberries, and hints of vanilla. The fruit mingles with vanilla on the palate with a certain round sweetness that reveals a big flavor with a surprisingly peppery finish. As with most Malbecs, this goes perfectly with steak and other red meats.
